We first met as course mates at NTU and became friends during a student exchange in Japan. After graduation, we went our separate ways. Almost ten years later, Wen Jie asked Wendy out for what was supposed to be a casual catch-up. Somehow, that turned into our first date.

One date became many more, along with plenty of travelling, road trips, enthusiastic car-aoke and the occasional hike we regretted halfway through. Somewhere along the way, being together just became our normal.

​

Years later, on a freezing evening in Sweden, Wen Jie got down on one knee. The ring box was upside down, his nose was running, and it was probably not quite how he had pictured the moment going. Wendy said yes anyway.

And now, here we are.
